Program Information

Northampton Community College stands apart from other electrician programs in Pennsylvania. You’ll have access to our dedicated Career Services office and placement opportunities through our many local industry connections. You’ll also have the flexibility to earn credentials at your own pace: you can study full- or part-time, enroll in some electrical technology evening programs, and complete some non-technical courses online.

The stackable structure of NCC’s electrician programs also works to your benefit, as you can start working in your career while completing the next level of your education—and achieving the next level of salary compensation.

If you live outside of Pennsylvania or complete an internship or practicum placement outside of the state, you should review the electrical licensure requirements on the state board website to make sure that NCC’s program qualifies.

Licensure requirements vary from state to state, so you may require additional authorization from the professional licensing agency to earn electrical licensure. If you participate in NCC’s program from outside of Pennsylvania, you could lose your licensing eligibility if your credentials are not properly authorized by that state’s professional licensing board. Please contact the Program Director for more information.
