The Restaurant Administration program covers food preparation techniques, dining room operations, menu planning, cost controls and the fundamentals of beers, wines and spirits, catering and convention services, restaurant administration and strategic leadership. Gain hands-on work experience at celebrated local restaurants as well as special events around campus.

The Associate in Applied Science in Hospitality Management: Meeting and Event Planning program involves real-world practicum experience that you can tailor to your desired arena—corporate, social, leisure, tourism and more.
Build foundational meeting, convention and special event management skills. Learn to effectively plan, organize, promote and manage aspects of hospitality, food and beverage, guest services and more. The two-year Specialized Diploma in Meeting and Event Planning prepares you for entry-level hospitality management roles.
Turn your food and beverage experience into managerial potential in NCC’s Specialized Diploma in Restaurant Administration and deepen your understanding of all aspects of restaurant management, including front-of-house business, supervisory duties, and convention services and catering operations. In courses designed with input from industry experts, study dining room operations, food service safety and sanitation, hospitality management and marketing, guest services, and food and beverage management.
Take on service and managerial roles in resorts, clubs, food and beverage vendors, and hotel operations with our two-year Specialized Diploma in Resort Management. Work toward certificates from AHLEI, STR, Cvent, Social Table and Open Table as you complete courses and industry-specific simulations in areas like guest services, leadership and hospitality accounting. If you are a Northampton Community College student living outside of Pennsylvania or intending to complete an internship or clinical placement outside of the state in a NCC program leading to professional licensure, you should review requirements on the state board website to make sure that the program qualifies.
Licensure requirements vary from state to state and you may require additional authorization from the professional licensing agency in that state. Participating in a program from outside of Pennsylvania, if not properly authorized by that state's professional licensing board, could result in loss of licensing eligibility.
