Baking & Pastry

Students in the Baking & Pastry specialized diploma program will garner the skills and knowledge to create, prepare and attractively present a variety of desserts and baked goods. During this 3 (three) semester part-time program, students will be prepared for entry level positions in the baking and pastry industry. Through hands-on instruction using traditional and specialty recipes, students will produce a variety of desserts, bread-based products, pastries, and sweets. Completion of the program will allow students the opportunity to seek employment in careers such as bakers, pastry cooks, or pastry entrepreneurs meeting the needs of retail and wholesale baking and pastry establishments
