What is an Academic Advisor?

Academic Advisors provide guidance for developing and achieving meaningful educational, professional, and personal goals. Throughout your educational journey at NCC an academic advisor will help navigate the sometimes confusing terrain of placement, pre-requisites, program requirements and transfer decisions. However, after consultation with an academic advisor, it is ultimately the student's responsibility to choose and implement his/her academic program and to see that all specific requirements for that program and all general requirements for graduation from the College have been met in an acceptable and timely manner.

How do I get an Academic Advisor?

Upon being accepted students will be assigned to an Academic Advisor. Advisors will work with students prior to enrolling and through their first semester. Students may then be reassigned to a faculty academic advisor within their program of study.

How do I find my Academic Advisor?

Students can find their assigned advisor's name and contact information by logging into their Workday account and clicking on the "Academics" icon. Their assigned advisor will be posted in their Support Network.
