Monroe Makerspace

The Monroe Makerspace (MMS), at the Northampton Community College Tannersville Campus, offers access to both traditional tools and innovative technologies for both college students and the community. The space is equipped with laser engravers, 3D printers, industrial sewing machines, vinyl cutter and garment printer. The Monroe Makerspace (MMS) provides opportunities to work with knowledgeable instructors to complete various learning experiences to develop skills like critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration.

Professors can utilize a predesigned module or work with Kate/Dee to design their own learning modules to connect students with content taught in their courses to allow students to problem solve and make meaningful connections to their learning. Businesses and school districts in the community can take advantage of our various modules for team building and skills development.

Tours and consultations to plan workshops are available by appointment. Please call Kate Curry at 570-369-1832 or email the Monroe Makerspace (MMS) directly at monroemakerspace@northampton.edu
